Weather Concerns Make Blue Bombers Reschedule Tryout
CHICAGO, IL-- The Chicago Blue Bombers announced today that the team will reschedule an Open Player Tryout set for Saturday, February 4th to Saturday, February 18th. The team was notified by Heritage Park officials of concerns with the scheduled event due to weather concerns. The Chicago area has been hit with a winter cold causing an ice build-up on outside surfaces.
The team is working to move the Open Player Tryout event to an temperature controlled indoor facility. Details will be made public soon.
Open Player Tryouts offer prospective players an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of Blue Bombers coaches and UFL personnel while they compete to earn an invitation to the Blue Bombers team’s training camp in March.
The Blue Bombers will be making the announcement of a new Head Football Coach next week.
Additional information regarding the tryout is listed below:
- Saturday, February 18th, from 11:00 am-2:00 pm CST (10:00 am check-in)
- $65 pre-registration fee
